As Christians we, like Him, are called to serve
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)
Everybody is human, so everybody has weaknesses
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV)
Part of God’s plan
So that the tested genuineness of your faith — more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire — may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 1:7 ESV)
A meek and a quiet spirit
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30 ESV)
We all fail sometime
And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. (Romans 8:27 NLT)
He can be strong in us
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
The solution is…
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV)
Through God’s grace
Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13 NIV)
He humbled Himself
…Rose from supper. He laid aside his outer garments, and taking a towel, tied it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him. (John 13:4-5)
Christian service
For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45 NLT)
Resting in the Lord
Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. (Matthew 11:28-29 NLT)
