God wants us to look ahead

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! (2 Corinthians 4:17 NLT)

 Life is full of problems. If we’re not careful, this present world and all of its struggles will fill up our time and thoughts. We get mired in our problems and can’t see anything beyond them.
 God wants us to look ahead, past our present problems. He wants us to think not in terms of how things are, but how they could be.
 When Jesus left this earth and returned to heaven, He explained that He was going ahead of us, to prepare a place for us—a place with many mansions, where there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor pain.
 “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 2:9-10)
 Knowing what glories, treasures, and rewards await us in heaven makes our present difficulties, trials, and tribulations bearable. —Shannon Shayler [1]

 It will be worth it all, when we see Jesus;
Life’s trials will seem so small, when we see Christ;
One glimpse of His dear face, all sorrow will erase,
So bravely run the race till we see Christ! —Esther Kerr Rusthoi
