God gives us victory over fear
I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears. (Psalm 34:4 ESV)
There isn’t any other way
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. (1 Peter 2:24 ESV)
His wish was
For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 ESV)
Jesus experienced emotions as we do
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15 ESV)
But the Christian life is not to be lived in the natural
See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. (1 Thessalonians 5:15 ESV)
It is achieved through God’s grace
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2 ESV)
This gift was unlike anything I’d ever experienced
In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. (1 John 4:10 ESV)
His encounter with Jesus completely changed his life
When Jesus got there, he looked up and said, “Zacchaeus, hurry down! I want to stay with you today. (Luke 19:5 CEV)
The mercy of Jesus
But go your way, tell his disciples and Peter that he goeth before you into Galilee: there shall ye see him, as he said unto you. (Mark 16:7 KJV)
While not easy, is simple
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:32 NKJV)
Profound and intense happiness
Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. 1 Pietro 1:8 KJV)
We are cleansed
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
Jesus made the way
In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. (1 John 4:9 ESV)
Something you work for
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. (2 Corinthians 5:10 ESV)
Jesus’ humanity
For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:21–22)
He has put it in writing
For this world is not our permanent home; we are looking forward to a home yet to come. (Hebrew 13:14 NLT)
He showed God’s love
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not anything made that was made. (John 1:1-3)
In spite of our sins
For the LORD is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. (Psalms 100:5 NLT)
