The little deeds of love
So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. (Galatians 6:10)
How often do we make the same mistake?
A hot-tempered man stirs up strife, but he who is slow to anger quiets contention. (Proverbs 15:18 ESV)
God will bring good from it
In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. From his temple he heard my voice. (Psalm 18:6 ESV)
I am with you
We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. (1 John 4:16 NLT)
“Go, and do likewise.”
But he, desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?" (Luke 10:29 ESV)
There isn’t any other way
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. (1 Peter 2:24 ESV)
Kindness is one of God’s attributes
Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness… (Colossians 3:12 ESV)
Jesus as the source of love
Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us. (Ephesians 5:2 NLT)
My job is to have love
Above all things have fervent love for one another, for ‘love will cover a multitude of sins. (1 Peter 4:8)
Even if their beliefs are different from mine
Be happy with those who are happy, and weep with those who weep. Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all! (Romans 12:15–16 NLT)
The Lord’s love has no end and no limit
We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19 NIV)
When God is at the center of our marriage
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 ESV)
But the Christian life is not to be lived in the natural
See that no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always seek to do good to one another and to everyone. (1 Thessalonians 5:15 ESV)
Forgiveness does not have to do with the circumstances
Forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Colossians 3:13 NIV)
Love that becomes real by actions
Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. (1 Peter 3:8 NIV)
Love God by loving your neighbor
Follow God's example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. (Ephesians 5:1-2 NIV)
Oh Jesus, why didn’t You come?
Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me. (Matthew 25:40 ESV)
Let’s pray that He will give us His mind and His heart
Freely ye have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:8)
As Christians we, like Him, are called to serve
Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. (Galatians 6:2)
